Bonefish is an Americana influenced rock band from Stockholm, Sweden. The band was formed four years ago by songwriter, singer and guitarist Bie Karlsson, with a past in top-10 Swedish album selling rock band “Docenterna”.
Bonefish is a bit unusual fish in the Swedish musical tidal wave. They have been compared with giants like Arcade Fire and Television, and Bie Karlsson’s lyrics with the works of Bob Dylan. But Bonefish has a recognisable sound of their own; a style which they call “Electrified Americana”. In april 2013 they released their self titled debut album and 2014 the follow up, Time to market, an 8-song EP.
Bie Karlsson have had a long career in Swedish music starting as early as late 70ties with several bands with record contracts for major record company labels, such as Universal, EMI and Virgin Records, and working with several of the best producers active in Sweden at the time; most notably Dennis “Blackbeard” Bowell, Anders “Henkan” Henriksson and Michael Ilbert.
The other members of the group are Matte Norberg, Rasmus Rasmusson and Nylle Thoor, well-experienced musicians used to touring and recording on the local Swedish scene, now stepping deeper into the stage spotlight.
Producer and musician Max Lorentz is like a 5th member of the band, renowned for his collaboration with Agnetha Fältskog and Kaipa da Capo, among many others. He plays keyboard on all tracks of the EP and always participates on Bonefish’ tours.
